Fishoria Fish & Chips in Bloomsbury

Fishoria Fish & Chips in Bloomsbury, 2026/27 Good Food Award winner – Blue Ribbon.

Fishoria sits on New Oxford Street in the heart of London, a short walk from the British Museum and the West End theatres. This fully licensed fish-and-chip restaurant takes the classic British takeaway and gives it a central-London polish, with fish delivered fresh each day from Billingsgate Market.

The menu keeps the focus on well-executed favourites. Cod, haddock and plaice arrive in a light, golden batter alongside proper hand-cut chips. Seafood baskets stacked with scampi, salt-and-pepper squid and tempura prawns work well for sharing, while a dedicated gluten-free range and a banana-blossom plant-based alternative make the offer genuinely inclusive. Desserts stay true to the nostalgic theme, with warm apple crumble, sticky toffee pudding and the occasional deep-fried Mars bar.

Customers regularly praise the generous portions, the freshness of the fish and the friendly, efficient service that suits both a quick pre-theatre bite and a more relaxed sit-down meal. For anyone looking for a proper plate of fish and chips in the middle of the city, Fishoria delivers exactly that.
